GCP On-Line Course

The CINP educational committee is pleased to offer CINP members free online training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP). This has been facilitated through a partnership with Quintiles Inc. Please help us to publicize this opportunity to colleagues. The value of this course alone is higher than CINP membership dues. Please let non-CINP colleagues know about this online offering, and encourage them to apply for membership. This GCP course adds to the free content on the educational portal on the CINP web site, which already includes access to the NEI/Stahl Psychopharmacology education content.

The course titled: Introduction to Clinical Drug Development Process: ICH/FDA Good Clinical Practice for Clinical Trial Sites is an online educational programme containing six (6) one-hour modules designed for clinical and research staff. These modules will provide you with the information that you need to successfully implement a clinical trial at your site. As you go through the modules, there will be didactic information as well as exercises and assessment questions.

Completion of this educational programme will allow you

  • Apply Good Clinical Practice in the conduct of clinical trials at your site
  • Identify the parties involved in clinical research and describe their roles and responsibilities
  • Locate GCP references and use them in resolving issues that arise at your site
  • Recognise the importance of adherence to GCP by all research staff in order to prevent research misconduct and pass inspections and audits.

If you would like to complete the GCP programme please click the link available on the member pages here. Once you have reached the homepage please click "Create User Profile" which will take you to the registration page.  Please ensure you insert your CINP Membership number.  If you are unsure of your membership number please contact the CINP Central Office.
