  • President's Message March 2024

Dear fellow CINP members,

I hope that you have had a successful and productive start to the new year.

With less than three months to go before CINP2024 starts in Tokyo, I would like to highlight some of the exciting new session formats that we will be introducing during the meeting. These include:

  • Two ‘Pipeline’ sessions, which will focus upon newly launched medication and diagnostic techniques that have a high chance of transferability into clinical settings.
  • Two ‘Meet the Experts’ panels, focused upon OCD and TRD: be sure to reserve your place early for these strictly limited sessions at which young clinicians and researchers will have the opportunity to discuss real-life cases with a panel of world-renowned experts.
  • A wide variety of Spotlight Sessions, including joint panels with WPA and WFSBP and with the South American BRAIN organisation, a special introduction to our Global Networking Communities and sessions hosted by partner organisations including the AsCNP, the TSBPN and the Philippine Psychiatric Association.
  • The ‘Essential Updates’ track – these sessions provide a comprehensive overview of recent developments in the field and are indispensable both for those looking to develop their careers and those wanting to keep abreast of updates across all aspects of the discipline.

The symposium and abstract submissions we have received have surpassed all expectations, both in their record numbers and outstanding quality and we have extended the programme to incorporate as many high-quality presentations as possible.

I am confident that a trip to CINP2024 offers a unique opportunity to combine high quality science with a visit to one              of the world’s most iconic cities and extensive networking opportunities at the Welcome Party, Members’ Networking Reception and Closing Party.

I look forward to seeing as many as possible of you there.

With all good wishes,

Yossi
